Unique experience with great hosts

The experience was great! We enjoyed to gather plants and flowers in the garden for the printing. The place has stunning views from the high mountain to the sea.
Had a great time talking to the host (Ynot) We wish him and his family good health and success with his business !
Fun times

I loved everything about this experience! From the moment I got there, Stephanie welcomed me and made feel at home. We talked, picked out flowers and the. Went to work. Sheena was a great instructor. She added additional razzmatazz unto my painting. I love the finished product and would definitely recommend. The refreshments were delicious. The banana cake was good too. A little too sweet for me.
Must do on Mahe!!!

Absolutely loved this workshop! On arrival you don’t think much of this place (from a very European point of view) as it’s just a few tables and a wooden cabana. But you soon forget about the surroundings as you are greeted by the roots-people. I immediately felt as ease and en encouraged to be creative (and not perfect haha). After going around and being greeted by Freedom -the turtle you start working on your masterpiece. Trust the proces guided by Tony and be surprised as I was but the stunningly beautiful result! I would recommend this workshop for sure!!!!
Great moment spent it with Seychelles local people

If I have more a few words to share is, you must visit this place if you are in Seychelles.

An experience like no other

Upon arrival at the top of the hill at la Batie, you know you’re in for something special. The view, the set-up, the vibe or the ease with which everything seems to function, I couldn’t quite put my finger on what exactly it was.
Roots Seychelles is one of those experiences where you get more than what you were expecting – in a very good way!
After promising myself to pay Stephannie and Tony a visit for close to 10 years, I finally took my kids for what I thought was some creative, artsy fun in nice fresh air. We walked away with some lessons on plants, basic concepts of fabric printing, colour mixing, folklore creole music and the lingering smell and taste of some of the best banana cakes and local orange juices we’ve ever had!
It’s an experience like no other.
Make a beautiful and unique souvenir for yourself!

I had a wonderful private workshop with Tony and Stephannie (and my little plant-picking helper)! I made a beautiful pareo in blues and greens with ferns, flowers, lemongrass and leaves from the passion fruit. Loved it and I recommend it to everyone to make yourself a unique souvenir of the island flora.
Make sure to check out the beautiful illustrated maps of the local islands by Stephannie too!
Great experience had by all.

I took a group of 11 teachers up to La Batie on the occasion of Teacher's Day, to share this great experience together. For most it was the first time they have ever done something like that. It was a wonderful time for us to be together trying something new, so colourful, creative and real experience. Thanks to Roots for hosting us so brilliantly.
